概要
〈LDLを悪者扱いする風潮〉に疑問を投げ、栄養学・生理学を踏まえて中性脂肪とコレステロールを再解釈する。数値を単純に「下げる」よりも、β 脂肪酸の質・ HDL の働き・細胞膜構造全体を支えることが重要だとし、知的な検証とワークを並行しながら日々の食事と運動をマクロな視点で組み立てる。
読みどころ
- 第1章では、そもそもコレステロールとは何かをビジュアルで説明し、ステロイド合成・細胞膜の安定化・脂質ホルモンの生成といった一連の流れを、各段階の変化とともに図で追う。
- 第2章は食事の視点。飽和脂肪酸・一価不飽和脂肪酸・多価不飽和脂肪酸を俯瞰し、それらのバランスによって HDL・LDL の比率がどう変わるかを数値化し、リスクを計量的に把握するテンプレートを提示。
